Rituals & Ceremonies

Rituals and ceremonies has long played an essential role in just about every culture.
How do we know what to do in rituals/ceremonies?
Do our rituals/ceremonies make our lives more meaningful?

Rituals/ceremonies can play a vital part in finding intimacy with the Divine in our everyday lives. Through our rituals we recognize that we are body-spirit and when we use our bodies in some ritual act, however small, and engage our imagination, the experience we have becomes an integral part of our lives. From beginning to end life is a ritual. Ceremonies are often held to celebrate the sacredness of life. Ceremonies allow is to acknowledge a transition, a new beginning or a rite of passage, a conclusion to an event. Our ceremonies can have powerful meaning for us. We do rituals/ceremonies in order to create a safe place where we meet the Divine.

Centering Prayer

We often think of prayer as thoughts or feelings expressed in words, but this is only one expression of prayer. Centering Prayer is a method of prayer that enables one to become quiet enough to sit in awareness of God's Presence. It is a prayer of choice, not of words.

Sr. Jo-Ann Jackowski, SFP, Facilitator

Dates: Every Tuesday
Time: 3:30 - 4 pm

For those who are new to the practice of Centering Prayer, please call Sr. Jo-Ann: (513) 761-9040 Ext. 156 or email her:
